名詞解釋： Wilson曾經指出資訊行為包括資訊需求、資訊尋求，以及資訊使用三方面。Kari年採用文獻分析法，剖析出七種「資訊使用」的概念：資訊實踐（information use as information practices）、資訊檢索（as information search）、資訊處理（as information processing）、知識建構（as knowledge construction）、資訊生產（as information production）、資訊應用（as applying information）、及資訊效果（as effects of information）。Choo指出企業的資訊使用有三種模式：建構意義，創造知識，以及產生決策。「意義建構論」認為組織成員可以回顧過去的行動及經驗，從中建構對組織環境的瞭解和認知；「知識創造論」是指組織成員知識內化和外顯的知識轉化過程，從而產生新知識和新能力，以發展新產品和新服務；「管理決策論」是決策者使用資訊，找尋各種可行的方案、評估可能的結果，最後根據目標及偏好，選擇一個可用的方案。Kari, J.
