描述： 大斑苔蛾(Garudinia bimaculata)是燈蛾科(Arctiidae)苔蛾亞科(Lithosiinae)斑苔蛾族(Cisthenini)的成員。本種的前翅為淡黃色，靠外側有一條寬黑帶自前緣延伸至後緣，後緣靠基部處有一大塊半圓形黑斑；後翅為灰色，無其他翅紋。斑苔蛾屬(Garudinia)自東方區的熱帶一直分布至菲律賓與蘇拉維西，在台灣僅紀錄一種。 A Brief Introduction: Garudinia bimaculata represents the only species of Garudinia in Taiwan and shares no similar characters of wing pattern with other members of Lithosiinae.
