簡介： Taipsaphida curiosa頭部及胸部軟毛均質，深棕色摻雜深赭棕色及黑色毛。足短，深棕色，整體上多毛，跗節具長白色鱗片環。觸角赭棕色，相當短，為明顯雙櫛齒狀且分枝對稱。前翅長，窄尖，底色深灰棕色，中央區域具淺赭棕色斑點，翅緣一半處佈滿白灰色。後翅較小，大致呈圓形，顏色光亮的白灰色，具擴散且較黑的盤狀斑點、橫線及外緣線。本種的生態習性未知，T. curiosa於一月出現，分佈於中高海拔。本種類似Psaphida resumens及 Feralia sauberi的黑化型。T. curiosa與P. resumens之差異在於其前翅較短，缺乏明顯清晰之橫線及翅紋，且具獨有大型白色三角形端緣記號。 本種與黑化型F. sauberi相較，其前翅較窄長並有更明顯的橫線和圓形及腎形翅紋，但在F. sauberi 無白色的端緣斑紋。 本種敘述主要引用Ronkay and Ronkay（1999）所發表之文獻內容。 |

Legs short, dark brown, roughly hairy, tarsi with long whitish scale-rings. Antenna ochreous brown, rather short, strongly bipectinate with symmetrical branches. Forewing, elongate, narrow, rather acute, outer margin evenly arcuate. Ground colour dark grayish brown, basal and medial areas irrorated with paler ochreous brown, outer half of marginal area suffused with whitish grey. Hindwing small, more or less rounded, shining whitish grey, discal spot, transverse line and terminal line present but diffuse, darker grey. Ecology poorly known. The unique type specimen of the type species of the genus was found in January, at medium-high altitude (1300 m a.s.l.). This species externally resembles mostly to Psaphida resumens (Walker, 1865) and to the dark coloured forms of Feralia sauberi (Graeser, 1892). Taipsaphida curiosa differs from P. resumens by its shorter, less elongate forewing, less sharply defined crosslines and stigmata and by the presence of the characteristic, large, triangular white tornal mark. This species has, comparing with the blackish suffused specimens of F. sauberi, narrower, longer forewings with more distinct crosslines and orbicular and reniform stigmata and the white tornal mark is absent in F. Sauberi. " |
