描述： 黃角環波尺蛾(Pennithera manifesta)是尺蛾科(Geometridae)波尺蛾亞科(Larentiinae)的成員，目前僅知分布於台灣。本種的前翅為黃褐色底，頂角下方有一個黑色三角形斑，亞外緣有一條黑線，翅中央有一條寬黑帶，黑帶中央顏色偏黃褐色，內線為黑色，直線偶有峰狀凸出，內線與中央寬帶間靠後緣處有一塊黑斑，範圍不超過1A+2A脈；後翅為淡黃色底，中央有一條黑線，翅基1/3散布黑色鱗片。環波尺蛾屬(Pennithera)前翅中央寬黑帶在靠後緣1/2由多個環狀組成，故名「環波」。本屬在台灣共記錄五種，本種與五環波尺蛾(P. subcomis)、寬環波尺蛾(P. subalpina)較為接近，皆為黃褐色底色，但寬環波尺蛾內線外側的黑帶往翅中央延伸，可與本種、五環波尺蛾區別。本種與五環波尺蛾則可藉由內線區別：前者的內線為直線，偶有峰狀凸出；後者內線為弧線，中央有兩個峰狀凸出。圖中個體採於金馬隧道，本種似乎是不常見的種類，網路上鮮有相關資料。 Pennithera manifesta represents one of the five Pennithera species distributed in Taiwan and is known to be edemic as the other four species up to date. P. manifesta is very similar to P. subcomis and P. subalpina because of the ground colour and wing pattern.
