描述： Metoeca nymphulalis是草螟科(Crambidae)斑野螟亞科(Spilomelinae)的成員。本種的前翅為黑褐色底，基線與亞基線為黑色，內中線亦為黑色且靠基部方向緊鄰一條白色線條，中室端部有一被白色斑紋包圍之短黑線，外中線為黑色且靠外緣方向緊鄰一條白色線條，外緣線由一排黑色小三角型組成且靠基部方向緊鄰一條白色折線；前翅亦為黑褐色底，基線為黑色，中室中央有一黑色斑，基線至中線間有一大塊白斑，外中線與中線為黑色且有白色線條在靠外緣方向緊鄰，外緣線由一排黑色小三角型組成且靠基部方向緊鄰一條白色折線。 A Brief Introduction: Metoeca nymphulalis represents one of the two Metoeca species in Taiwan and shares very similar wing pattern with the other species, M. foedalis. The only difference of wing pattern is that white markings of the former are more developed than those of the later. However, M. nymphulalis had been proposed to be just a form of M. foedalis.
