　　澳洲圖書館與資訊學會（Australian Library and Information Association，簡稱ALIA）是澳洲圖書館與資訊服務單位的專業組織，最初成立於1937年，名稱為「澳洲圖書館員協會」（Australian Institute of Librarians）。1949年改名為「澳洲圖書館學會」（The Library Association of Australia），1989年再改為「澳洲圖書館與資訊學會」（Australian Library and Information Association）。此次改名是因為該會體認到擴大圖書館專業領域範圍的必要性，認為學會應要包含更多相關的資訊專業人員，因此希望藉由此次改名成為一個不僅代表澳洲圖書館，同時也能代表澳洲其他資訊服務單位的專業組織。到1998年，與澳洲圖書館與資訊服務委員會（Australian Council of Libraries and Information Services）合併，真正成為一個代表澳洲圖書館與資訊單位之最重要的專業組織。　　參加該學會的入會資格沒有任何限制，任何對圖書館與資訊服務有興趣的個人或團體均可申請成為會員。會員類型分為個人會員、團體會員和館際互借證會員（voucher-only membership）。會員的權益包括免費的出版品、線上服務和會議註冊費折扣等，亦可選擇成為任何興趣團體的成員。此外，該學會亦設有15個獎項及獎學金鼓勵會員們在圖書資訊學領域方面的各項成就，如HCL Anderson Award, Redmond Barry Award， Study Grant, Dunn & Wilson Scholarship，和Metcalfe Award等。該會的主要出版品有《Australian Library Journal》（季刊，1951年至今）、《Australian Academic and Research Libraries》（季刊）和《inCite》（月刊）。另有電子通訊，《aliaNEWS》、《aliaPUBNEWS》、《PD posting」》和《LIS Management in Focus》等4種。其他出版品還包括ALIA年度報告、《Australian Dictionary of Acronyms and Abbreviations》和《Uniting a Profession》等。Australian Library and Information Association (2010).
